Here is my flat plan for my contents page.

Front cover textual analysis

Suitable Photos for a front cover

Pictures with green circles on are suitable for my front cover.

I have chosen the selected photos as they are all single mid shots which are most suitable for a magazine cover as they focus on the main character in the image. The images with whit/clear backgrounds are most suitable as the negative space can be used as space for side stories, pugs ect. However images with background included are also suitable as it works as an establishing shot and provides possible information about the image. The images I have not chosen consist of; too dull/ dark lighting and uninteresting background, too much negative space on one side of the charcter and a mid shot of three characters which is not suitable as it spreads across all middle thirds on the cover of a magazine.

Audience Research Analysed

My audience research shows that for my age group the most popular choices are mainly rock/indie music, social networking, concerts, film and shopping. Therefore in my Aquinas magazine I will include :
Bands/ Local college bands or major rock/indie bands
Concerts, information and reviews
Film Reviews on the most recent action and/or comedy block busters
Links to social networking
Shopping offers and deals
